Buenos Aires, December 2 (NA)–Fundación Leer celebrated the fourth edition of the "Most Reader Child" award, which distinguishes the children and adolescents who read the most books during the year on the free "Desafío Leer-El Club" platform. In this edition, thousands of children aged 7 to 17 from all over the country participated, and the national winner was Andrés Vildoza Costa, 12, from Catamarca. For the first time, the award included high school students, with the aim of highlighting young people who find in reading a space for enjoyment and reflection.

In 27 years, it has developed programs in all 23 provinces and in the City of Buenos Aires, distributed 2.6 million new books, created more than 4,500 reading spaces, and trained over 31,000 adults.

Patricia Mejalelaty, executive director of Fundación Leer, highlighted that "access to the book is key to forming autonomous and competent readers" and emphasized that the platform democratizes reading by offering quality materials openly and for free. "Desafío Leer-El Club" brings together more than 200 digital books selected by specialists and proposes trivia, activities, and pedagogical tools for teachers, librarians, and families. Through the site, educators can create reading clubs, access downloadable resources, and follow the progress of their groups.
